Saint John’s for Education Group developed a school in Thabom, Loei as a part of its long-term commitment to reach out and provide high quality education to local students regardless of their social or financial background.
Upon the request of Saint John’s, the Assumption Sisters from the Philippines, who have a well established relationship with Saint John’s Schools in Bangkok, kindly agreed in 2000 to open a new community in Thabom to help Saint John’s and the diocese manage and run the school in the village.
Since then, Saint John’s Thabom has grown into a thriving school with over 1000 students from over 60 villages in the province of Loei.
In order to improve the English language skills of the students and people within the community Saint John’s have established a volunteer program, “Volunteers in Thabom“. The volunteers provide a much needed source of English support for the community. If you are interested in finding out how you can help please feel free to contact us.
Saint John’s Thabom School is a part of the Saint John’s Group of Schools.
